To Orchard House from Charlbury train station - on foot (approximately 10 minutes):

Turn right out of the station entrance onto Forest Road/Dyer's Hill, following the road over the bridge and up the hill. At the top of the rise, take the right fork at the T-junction, into Market Street. Walk past the post office and small museum. At the Corner House and just before the Bull Hotel (very nice for lunch), turn left into Brown's Lane. 100 metres up the hill and just before the Co-Op shop, turn right into Poole's Lane. Follow the Playing Close around the corner to the left. Crawborough forks off diagonally right from the Playing Close. Walk up Crawborough for approximately 200 metres. From this direction, Orchard House is on the left of Crawborough, immediately before a row of pretty stone Victorian cottages.

To Orchard House from Charlbury train station (Burford/Wychwoods direction B4437):

Turn right out of the station entrance onto Forest Road/Dyer's Hill, following the road over the bridge and up the hill. At the top of the rise, turn left into Thames Street. Turn first right into Nine Acres Lane, and travel uphill, around a sharp right bend to the crossroads. Travel straight on at the crossroads onto The Slade, taking the second turn on the right into Crawborough (the first right being Wychwood Close). Travel down Crawborough for about 100 metres. Orchard House is to be found on the right, following a row of stone Victorian cottages, and is set back from the road a little. The school is on the left.

Parking is available on site, so please pull into the drive.

To Orchard House from Chipping Norton direction B4026:

Enter Charlbury via Pound Hill and turn first left onto Nine Acres Lane. Travel uphill, around a sharp right bend and up to the crossroads. Travel straight on at the crossroads onto The Slade, taking the second turn on the right into Crawborough (the first right being Wychwood Close). Travel down Crawborough for about 100 metres. Orchard House is to be found on the right, following a row of stone Victorian cottages, and is set back from the road a little. The school is on the left.

Parking is available on site, so please pull into the drive.

To Orchard House from Enstone direction B4022:

Enter Charlbury from Banbury Hill Road. At the crossroads, turn left onto The Slade. Take the second turn on the right into Crawborough (the first right being Wychwood Close). Travel down Crawborough for about 100 metres. Orchard House is to be found on the right, following a row of stone Victorian cottages, and is set back from the road a little. The school is on the left.

Parking is available on site, so please pull into the drive.

To Orchard House from Woodstock direction B4437:

Enter Charlbury on the Woodstock Road. Follow the road round a sharp right-hand bend, travelling straight on Sturt Road/The Slade. Crawborough is a small road in Charlbury, just off The Slade at the top of a sharp rise. There are school signs in both directions as you approach the Crawborough turning. Travel down Crawborough for about 100 metres. Orchard House is to be found on the right, following a row of stone Victorian Cottages, and is set back from the road a little. The school is on the left.

Parking is available on site, so please pull into the drive.

To Orchard House from Witney direction B4022:

Enter Charlbury on the Fawler Road. At the T-junction, turn left onto Sturt Road/The Slade. Crawborough is a small road in Charlbury, just off The Slade at the top of a sharp rise. There are school signs in both directions as you approach the Crawborough turning. Travel down Crawborough for about 100 metres. Orchard House is to be found on the right, following a row of stone Victorian Cottages, and is set back from the road a little. The school is on the left.
